Community Involvement

We are a proud supporter of the Suitcases for Kids program.  Suitcases for Kids was founded by 10 year old Aubyn Burnside in 1995 in an effort to provide Catawba County, (N.C.) foster care children with suitcases.  Since its inception, the organization has grown to become an international nonprofit organization.

Children move on average 7 times while in the foster care system.  Many foster care children carry their belongings in garbage bags as they move from home to home.

The Lumberton Board of Realtors has joined with Guardian Ad Litem to collect suitcases for these children.  Storage Solutions has graciously donated space to Guardian Ad Litem to store the excess supply of suitcases collected.  

As of September 10, we collected 152 suitcases.  Although the deadline has passed for the collection, we want this to continue to be a community effort.  We will continue to accept donations at Storage Solutions / Premier Advantage Realty.  We need suitcases and large duffel bags.  Ask your neighbors, family and friends.  Please help a child who is less fortunate than you.  Contact us for more information.
